|The Lost Princess|
I have to say it has been a rough week or two around here and I am always amazed at how God pulls us through and rounds things out! If you read my other blog, Considering frugal, you know I had a huge case of Blogger’s Block last week. I called the post The Truth About My Life and you can read it here. Most of our homeschool lessons surround whatever Apologia chapter we are working from and this semester it is Botany. Last week we studied the seed all week. I planned on making Ezekiel Bread as Apologia suggested however God had another plan found in the tiny little Mustard seed. He even arranged a Wednesday night lesson in Mustard Seed Faith without my knowledge. I love it when He does that! We ended the week trying to sprout wheat that didn’t sprout but in the end we made our own homemade mustard and it was delicious. We learned about faith by working it out.
This week is a short week so my plan was to catch up on our homemade soap making and have a fun game extravaganza for our math lessons. We don’t do this often, but everything easy I ever learned about money, I learned from Life and Monopoly, so we like to play once in a while and then we had a field trip planned too. Anyway, that being said, my kids just didn’t like each other this week, so most of our week was spent on relationships. But just when I thought the week was unproductive and they just weren’t going to get along at all, they surprised me with a group project. A story penned, typed and illustrated. I was so excited I had to ask if I could share it. It is short but full of interesting words and it has a fantastic plot! And here it is…
